Rental packages are required to buy field paint.  Why is this policy in place?  Over time we have learned a lot about people bringing their own paint.  Here are some of the problems.  A player brings his own gear pays a field fee and a paint charge and brings in 3 cases of paint.  His buddies rent the rental package and as preplanned fill up their markers with the friends paint that has his own gear.  From the Field's prospective, the paint brought in is a problem in many ways.  If it is monster balls or old paint, one rental has a broken stuck ball which jams the gun and the power tube is over loaded and starts leaking, 50.00 to fix.  Players continue to load their guns from the guy with own gear.  Co2 is being used on 10 guns, and 3 hours later they are coming in to get a full tank which is covered on the rental and costs 7.00 a piece for the field.  4 hours later the field only sells 2 bags of paint. and there is very little profit built into the paint sale.  At the end of the day the field lost 120.00 dollars and the income was 250.00.  so half of the money generated that day was lost.  Profits generally go towards improvement on the field, upgraded equipment, co2, paintballs, and many other things related to operating a business like insurance, website, etc.  I'm just trying to shed light on why the rules are in place, for valid reasons.  So keep in mind when you purchase a rental, you must also purchase paintballs from the field.  In doing so you are supporting a field that gives back in many ways to make it a fun and safe place to play.

Well They are not banned as of yet, I just want to keep them out of my rental markers.  They are a nasty ball tho, they can hurt more than other balls when you are hit by them, they just have a very thick shell.
